Job Description

Our client is looking for solicitors for their Financial Litigation department. This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing department within their law firm.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Litigation you will lead a team of paralegals dealing with the firm’s increasing volumes of Business Energy Housing Disrepair and SIPPS cases as well as general civil litigation disputes. Both this department and law firm are ambitious and innovative and continue to expand exponentially.

We are looking for a candidate who will be confident in supporting the senior solicitor as required as well as the ability to take a leadership role in the department. Excellent attention to detail is required in addition to the ability to manage a range of priorities.

This role is fulltime onsite in their Financial Litigation Office in Chancery Lane.

Key Responsibilities:
.

Leading driving training growing a team of paralegals and their caseload
.

Progression your own caseload
.

Working collaboratively to achieve team and departmental goals
.

Demonstrating excellent drafting and advocacy skills
.

Managing relationships with external counsel and other key stakeholders
.

Driving the growth of the department through innovation
.

Rainmaking: bringing in your own caseload & clients for civil matters

The successful candidate will have:
3 years PQE
team leading experience
a commercial mindset
strong organisational skills
outstanding verbal and written English and superb interpersonal skills
significant litigation experience and technical knowledge ideally in general commercial and consumer law but particularly in consumer credit law.
