Financial Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating and managing the Originations marketing budget with a focus on lead to lock conversion goals to help strategize optimal performance vs spend.
• Responsible for booking marketing related expense accruals at monthend to ensure accurate financial reporting. This involves collaborating closely with the finance and marketing team to accurately reflect marketing expenses in the general ledger.
• Work independently and proactively to analyze the cost per channel. This involves understanding the various marketing channels utilized (e.g. social media Google ads etc.) and their respective impact on business performance. It also includes identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements in marketing investments.
• Partner with the finance team & operators and proactively identify track and analyze financial and nonfinancial business metrics; with the goal of contributing to business decisions and driving operational results.
• Support the comparison of actual financial results to forecast identifying variances trends and key drivers of performance discrepancies. Proactively investigate underlying causes and prepare comprehensive executive level explanations for differences.
• Support ad hoc projects and initiatives as needed by the finance team and/or business partners.

Skills & qualifications:

• A bachelor s degree in finance or accounting. Advanced degree is a plus.
• 5 7 years of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and financial reporting experience required.
• Direct experience in Mortgage Financial Services or Real Estate industry preferred
• Must have strong Excel skills including pivot tables lookups etc
• Strong Power BI skills and working knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language)
• TM1 Essbase Alteryx Adaptive or similar database experience required
• Proficient in analyzing data and identifying trends
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to act as a liaison and communicate effectively with business partners and Senior Management.
• Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research data analysis and resolve complex problems as well as manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
• Continuously seeks opportunities and has achieved success with driving change to improve existing financial models and related processes.
