The nature of the work is focused on the companys computer and telephony technology tools used to create store exchange and use all forms of information. Optimize the capability of the IT infrastructure and services to deliver cost effective and sustained level of application availability. Develop complex tools and processes in the support of continuity management. Executes tests for system continuity. Design test and implement monitoring tools and processes. Write procedures to respond to results so system issues are brought to resolution. Collect metrics over a long term for trending. Performs complex work to install hardware and software taking proactive steps to assure success. Devises process and procedure for applying and maintaining security settings and user access based on technology platform. Recommends improvements as indicated based on analysis of current techniques and perceived imperfections. Uses specialized SAP basis skills to create and maintain SAP environments install SAP application components monitor and trouble shoot SAP technical issues.
Typically requires a bachelors degree and minimum of 8 or 9 years directly relevant work experience Note: One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law 6 yrs; Masters 7 yrs; Associates degree 9 yrs; High School 10 yrs.
- Grouping these notes together as they are all the same basic role just with different levels of experience required:
- Niche 2 (2000) minimum 2 years experience
- Niche 3 (2001) minimum 4 years experience
- Niche 4 (2002) minimum 6 years experience
- HM is more interested in the complexity of work accomplished as opposed to years of experience/degree
- Python proficiency is required for all levels
- CI/CD GIT proficiency required.
- Previous experience in machine learning data pipelines or statistical fields would be preferred
- Somebody whos worked in a remote environment before would be preferred; candidates must be able to work well on their own while still having good communication with other colleagues/teams
- Experience in Cloud infrastructure is required (especially for Niche 4 level); machine learning is a huge plus; proficiency in Sequel also preferred
- This team is rapidly growing and taking on new work so the HM needs candidates who are go getters and who he can count on to do their assigned tasks without much supervision
- In the first 90 days of the role the ETWs main focus will be becoming proficient with the environment and products that they work with
- Specific to Niche 4: experience with architecture/design work is a huge plus
- Selected candidates should expect about 3 total rounds of interviews one of which will be a coding exercise
- Morning hours (EST) preferable for interviewing
- Work hours flexible but core team sits in EST so will plan meetings around those times (some members also sit in Central Europe)
