Job Description

3 Months contract with a Local Authority

Job Summary:

This is an important role to support the delivery of a range of programme project strategy policy improvement and change work to support the work of London ADASS. This may involve working in a variety of disciplines and environments to deliver the London ADASS priorities.

The London ADASS team has specific new responsibilities in relation to supporting international recruits. We are developing new ways to support individual recruits who want to find a job in the care sector. The main responsibility for this role is to support the International Recruitment Programme Manager.

This will include receiving notifications about the suspension and revocation of certificates of sponsorship for care providers undertaking basic checks and notifying affected Councils. It will also include monitoring and responding to individuals who contact the London ADASS team for support to find a new job in the care sector.

The post holder is expected to develop and maintain relationships across the London region with senior Officers and with partner organisations and residents as dictated by the projects roles and tasks that they will be carrying out.

The post holder will also actively seek to make effective relationships with colleagues in Camden council and across the London region. You will act as a key point of contact for London ADASS dealing with enquiries from a wide range of people including local authority directors. You will deal with a range of complex and sometimes contentious matters requiring support and sensitivity.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

Providing flexible programme project and strategy support to the team

Leading on lower risk project and strategic work

Support on complex change initiatives taking ownership of specific workstreams or areas of responsibility over time.

Support effective performance management of projects and reporting

Support communications to deliver the objectives of London ADASS including events newsletters social media and website editing.

Assist the team with administrative tasks where required and appropriate such as organising and maintaining the London ADASS networks

Essential Experience Required:

Experience within Adult Social Care is essential.

Experience dealing with transformation programmes and a good knowledge of project management is essential.

Essential Qualification Required:

A good general standard of education written and good verbal skills is essential.

Additional information to note:

Working hours: 21 hours per week.

It is a part time role which can be flexible. It could be a few hours a day or set days. The role will mostly be remote but it will be necessary to come to the office in Camden around once a month as a minimum and ideally once a week.

DBS is required for the role.
