Aws Data Architect

Location: Alameda CA (Remote)
Duration: Fulltime hire/ Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Data Architect with strong expertise in data mesh architecture DBT Airflow AWS services and data quality frameworks like Great Expectations. The ideal candidate will have experience in consumer domains such as rebates marketing market access sales and CRM systems. This role involves designing implementing and maintaining scalable data solutions that meet business requirements and drive actionable insights.

1. Data Architecture Design:

   • Design and implement data mesh architectures to support decentralized data ownership and management.
   • Develop architectural patterns that ensure data scalability reliability and performance.
   • Create and maintain data models and pipelines to manage various types of business data.

2. Data Transformation and Orchestration:

   • Utilize DBT (Data Build Tool) for efficient data transformation and modeling.
   • Implement and manage data workflows using Airflow for orchestration.
   • Ensure timely and accurate data processing across the data platform.

3. AWS Services:

   • Leverage AWS services to build robust and scalable data solutions.
   • Optimize the use of AWS tools for data storage processing and analysis.
   • Ensure the security and compliance of data stored and processed on AWS.

4. Data Quality and Governance:

   • Implement data quality frameworks such as Great Expectations to ensure data integrity.
   • Develop and enforce data governance policies and best practices.
   • Monitor and improve data quality across various data sources and pipelines.

5. DomainSpecific Data Solutions:

   • Rebates:
     • Manage rebate data models and pipelines.
     • Ensure accurate and timely rebate data processing and reporting.
   • Marketing:
     • Architect data solutions to support marketing analytics.
     • Collaborate with marketing teams to optimize data flows and analytics capabilities.
   • Market Access:
     • Design data architectures that enhance market access strategies.
     • Integrate market access data with other business data for comprehensive insights.
   • Sales:
     • Develop data solutions supporting sales analytics and reporting.
     • Ensure seamless integration of sales data from various sources into the data platform.
   • CRM Systems:
     • Integrate CRM data with other business data for a unified view.
     • Ensure data integrity and consistency across CRM systems and data platforms.

6. Collaboration and Communication:

   • Work closely with crossfunctional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
   • Communicate data architecture designs and solutions effectively to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
   • Provide guidance and support to data engineers and other team members.

• Proven experience as an AWS Data Architect or in a similar role.
• Strong background in data mesh architecture and related technologies.
• Proficiency in DBT for data transformations and Airflow for orchestration.
• Expertise in AWS services and their application in data solutions.
• Experience with data quality frameworks like Great Expectations.
• Solid understanding of architectural and data patterns.
• Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with crossfunctional teams.

• Experience with consumer domains such as rebates marketing market access and sales.
• Knowledge of CRM systems and their integration with data platforms.
