Job Description

Nixon McQuade are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Supervisor on behalf of a leading business based in Newry.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the payment of all company bills and invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while also managing a team of accounts payable clerks.

The Role:

  • Management of the purchase ledger function.
  • Processing of purchase invoices and credit notes.
  • Supplier statement reconciliations.
  • Bank and cash allocations.
  • Supplier payment runs.
  • Liaising with other departments and suppliers to resolve queries.
  • Month-end procedures.
  • Prepare a weekly cashflow forecast.
  • Set up and maintain vendor accounts.

The Person:

  • Previous experience in accounts payable.
  • Prior experience managing a team.
  • The ability to work in a team as well as individually.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.

Rewards:

  • Salary range 30,000 - 35,000
  • Company pension contribution
  • Early finish Friday
