Requirements

1. Excellent skills in SQL languages with variations across major databases

2. Demonstrated expertise with contemporary RDBMSs

3. Capable of optimizing complex SQL statements for largescale apps

4. A deep understanding of the best practices in databases and techniques for optimization

5. Experienced at setting up/configuring database engines/clusters

6. The ability to translate highlevel specs into resource planning

7. Skilled in troubleshooting common problems faced by databases users everyday

8. Familiarity with profiling tools which focus on server resource optimization

9. Proficiency in version control systems (Git/Mercurial/SVN)
