Python Developer

One of our clients who is a leading asset management company is doing a complete overhaul of its technology infrastructure to be aligned with the business growth and future technological requirements of scalability and reliability. Data is the driver for their business and they are going to overhaul every step of data collection enrichment transformation calculation distribution and storage. Most importantly the architecture is focused on how data is shared between systems and process to ensure scalability and growth. This is a greenfield initiative and we are looking for enthusiastic python developers to join the team to build highly performant scalable business centric data & workflow delivery platform.

Experience working in asset management hedge fund broker/dealer investment company or a similar financial company is required as is several years experience in a heavily Python/Pandas/SQL environment building data solutions.

Tasks

Data Transformation Script:

• Read data from Excel CSV JSON.
• Transform and export to XML Parquet SQL.

Web Application Development:

• Create a web app displaying SQL database data with filters.
• Use Django Flask or Pyramid.

API Development and Testing:

• Develop a CRUD RESTful API with Flask.
• Implement unit tests with pytest.

CI/CD Pipeline Implementation:

• Set up a CI/CD pipeline on Azure.
• Automate testing and deployment of the web app.

Data Validation with Pydantic:

• Validate and process JSON dataset using Pydantic.
• Save valid data to a SQL database.

Requirements

• 8 years of programming experience

Python 5 years

Expertise in data centric applications for the web

Experience with packages: Pandas Numpy SqlAlchemy Openpyxl and Pydantic among others is required.

Agility with transforming data to and from formats such as Excel CSV JSON XML Parquet SQL and YAML

Experience with web frameworks in python (like Django Flask or Pyramid).

Good understanding of relational databases and ability to read and decipher stored procs.

Understanding of CI/CD in cloud preferably azure.

Ability to work independently and in small teams of 23 developers.

A desire to take ownership of deliverable and run with it.

Focused on testing and ensuring the code delivered is tested thoroughly.

Independent developer who can work with changing requirements and fastpaced environment.
