Senior Developer

This is a remote position.

Please Note: This is a Remote Job (But Travel Required)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Analysis:
   
• Analyze functional and technical requirements of proposed or existing IT systems to determine the necessary technical development or modifications to meet mission objectives.
  
2. System Change Specifications:
   
• Prepare system change/programming specifications.
  
• Specify programming instructions inputs and outputs structures and other analytical products to document the functional and technical requirements.
  
3. Technical Design Documentation:
   
• Prepare technical design documents.
  
• Participate in critical design reviews to study and verify impacts on current systems.
  
4. System and Software Resolution:
   
• Analyze and resolve system or software failures to ensure system reliability and performance.
  
5. Testing and Validation:
   
• Prepare and execute tests for system or subsystem software validation to ensure accurate functionality and performance.
  

Requirements

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience with Mainframe IDMS and COBOL.
  

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Endevor.
  

Education:

• Required: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  
• Preferred: Advanced degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Mainframe IDMS and COBOL.
  
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.
  
• Experience with Endevor (preferred).
  

Minimum Qualification A minimum of a MS in engineering, physics, or related field with 5 years working in digital/analog signal processing and control system design is required. Five years of relevant industry experience in addition to a master's in engineering, math, or physics. A PhD is preferred but not required and candidates with substantially more than 5 years in industry following receipt of a BS degree will be considered. Must be a US citizen or permanent resident with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
