Introduction:

We are seeking a skilled Snowflake Data Engineer with substantial experience in Azure environments to join our dynamic IT team. This role is crucial for the development optimization and maintenance of our data platforms ensuring efficient data processing security and compliance across our enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:

Dimensional Data Modeling and Warehouse Design:

o Design and implement scalable and efficient dimensional data models.

o Architect and maintain robust data warehouses in Snowflake tailored for c complex query performance and business intelligence needs.

Data Integration:

o Develop and manage ETL processes integrating data from diverse sources into Snowflake.

o Write complex SQL queries for data manipulation and retrieval.

o Creating Meta data management and inbuilt Observability frameworks within the data pipeline.

o Leverage Azure Data Factory and other integration tools to ensure seamless data flows.

Performance Tuning:

o Optimize SQL queries for performance improvements taking advantage of Snowflakespecific features such as clustering keys and partitioning.

o Monitor and optimize the performance of the data warehouse.

o Implement indexing partitioning and other performance optimization techniques specific to Snowflake.

Data Security and Compliance:

o Apply best practices for data security within Snowflake managing roles and access controls.

o Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations pertaining to data privacy and security.

Scalability and Maintenance:

o Scale Snowflake compute resources dynamically to handle varying loads efficiently.

o Manage Snowflake storage efficiently overseeing data lifecycle and archival strategies.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

o Support data analysts and business intelligence teams by providing cleansed and structured data for reporting and analysis.

o Support integrating BI tools and dashboards that connect to Snowflake.

Troubleshooting:

o Provide expert troubleshooting and problemsolving support for datarelated issues.

o Maintain high availability and reliability of the data storage and processing environments.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems or a related field.

At least 6 years of experience as a Data Engineer with handson experience in

Snowflake and Azure.

Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with dimensional data modeling and data

warehousing principles.

Proven track record with Azure Data Factory and other Azure services relevant to data

management and analytics.

Deep understanding of ETL processes and experience in managing data integration in

a largescale environment.

Familiarity with data security protocols and compliance regulations applicable in the

hospitality industry.

Excellent analytical problemsolving and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage projects with

minimal supervision.

Desirable Skills:

Experience in integrating Salesforce Data Cloud and Salesforce Marketing for source

and sink is preferred.

Certifications in Snowflake and Microsoft Azure are highly preferred.

Experience in the hospitality industry or similar fields is a plus.
