Emergency Veterinarian - Round Rock TX

Heart of Texas Veterinary Specialty Center located in the Round Rock TX (a suburb of Austin) is currently seeking a fulltime ER Veterinarian to join our team.

OUR PRACTICE

We are an AAHAaccredited Fear Free Certified fullservice 24/7 hospital with dedicated doctors providing highquality medical care to the companion animal population in Austin and surrounding areas. We provide specialty care in the departments of: Emergency Surgery Internal Medicine and Oncology (Medical). We partner with an onsite Cardiologist 2 days a week and have an ultrasound (performed with a sonographer and reviewed by a radiologist) available MondaySaturday.

OUR HOSPITAL:

• The ONLY ER/Specialty hospital currently Fear Free Certified in the area.
• Fully equipped with a full range of diagnostic and treatment equipment including commercialgrade lab diagnostics ECG blood pressure monitoring pulse oximetry anesthesia & telemetry.
• We also provide ultrasound (we have a sonographer and radiologist review available MondaySaturday) CT fluoroscopy digital radiography rhinoscopy endoscopy bronchoscopy and cystoscopy.
• A core of dedicated specialists in internal medicine surgery medical oncology and a contracted cardiologist.
• Supportive and helpful relief pool to help with ER Staffing and coverage.
• An amazing support team to assist our Dr.'s with complex cases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Build relationships with colleagues clients and support staff to ensure a compassionate and collaborative work environment.
• Motivated to foster a learning environment for colleagues support staff and veterinary students visiting the hospital.
• Triage and facilitate treatment plans for emergency patients.
• Continue care of specialty patients who are hospitalized overnight and on weekends.
• Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
• Provide clear and complete communication to clients and support staff.
• Communicate with referral partners (verbally and with referral letters)

• Attend morning rounds to collaborate with specialists on the currently hospitalized patients.
• Maintain a positive and supportive work culture.
