Position Description

As an IOT Specialist you will be a crucial member of the customer journey where youll collaborate closely with our sales onboarding and software developer. you will guide customers through the data integration and technical aspects of the customer journey and assist them with connecting their facilities data into our cloud platform. This role is a combination of technical consulting handson programming of gateway devices and generation of keys and scripts and. You will be responsible for supporting the onboarding of new plants to ensure seamless connectivity and perform the initial exploration cleaning and quality assessment of historical plant data.

What you bring to the team

• University degree or diploma in a technical field such as mechanical chemical process or environmental engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) devices
• Experience conducting data analysis working with metadata
• Demonstrated ability to learn and apply engineering concepts quickly
• Demonstrated ability to learn new software quickly
• Excellent customer serviceskills
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
• Analytical and processoriented mindset
• Eager to be an integral part of a fastpaced team

Responsibilities

• Work with customer IT teams to ensure network configurations are set up and can access Panis cloud infrastructure
• Work with IIOT gateway vendors to learn and understand device scripts setup and interfaces thereby enabling these devices to interact with Pani APIs and data ingress protocols
• Work with customer programming staff to ensure gateways and PLCs are properly configured and running
• Review and interpret P&IDs process flow diagrams and datasheet of equipment (pumps blowers sensors etc.)
• Perform initial exploration cleaning and quality assessment of historical plant data
• Understand the design and control of water treatment plants and processes and apply this knowledge to set up key performance indicators (KPIs) and optimization models
• Use Panis toolbox to configure KPIs and models set up charts and custom reports
• Analyze sensor data from plants and identify errors or anomalies
• Use engineering analysis and software unit testing to verify your own work and check the work of others
• Work with the engineering and software development teams to develop and improve internal onboarding tools to make the onboarding process more efficient

Nice to Have

• 1 years of experience working with software development teams to improve processes
• Experience in the water industry ideally in water/wastewater treatment
• Experience working for a SaaS startup
