Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant

Company Overview: Our client is a mediumsecurity prison devoted to delivering comprehensive healthcare to the detained population while maintaining the greatest levels of safety and security.

Position Summary: The successful candidate will perform physical examinations gather patient data analyze laboratory results and work with nursing personnel to establish the best patient care practices. This position requires a current and active Iowa NP PA or medical license.

Responsibilities:

Conduct physical examinations of incarcerated individuals.

Gather historical health developmental and psychosocial data from patients.

Interpret laboratory and related studies including drawing blood samples and urine analysis.

Recommend patient care resources including referrals to specialty departments as needed.

Collaborate with nursing staff to develop and implement diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Qualifications:

Current and valid Iowa Nurse Practitioner (NP) Physician Assistant (PA) or Medical license.

Necessary Attributes:

Experience working in a healthcare setting preferably in correctional healthcare.

Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Commitment to upholding ethical standards and providing quality healthcare to incarcerated individuals.
