Registered Nurse

Company Overview: Our client has an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurse with experience in healthcare planning and management in correctional setting. The Registered Nurse ensures that the quality of patient care and medical services are upheld and that the healthcare schedule is followed as planned.

Position Summary: The successful candidate shall have a minimum of 1 year of experience in correctional setting as a Registered Nurse. This is a minimum of 6months contract job.

Available Shifts:

7 am 7:30 am

8 am 8:30 pm

5 pm 5:30 am

7 pm 7:30 am

Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care in adult institutions through assessment planning implementation and evaluation of patients according to practice standards.

Deliver care via 24hour nursing telemedicine chronic care clinics sick call screenings medication administration patient education and emergency care.

Maintain confidentiality while documenting health records and collaborating with other departments as needed.

Work with delegated tasks and work varied hours days and locations.

Meet institutional needs providing evidencebased care and maintaining competence through education and certification in correctional nursing.

Additional duties or location assignments may be required to meet departmental needs.

Qualifications:

Possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Virginia RN license (NCLEX is valid if you are a recent Nursing School graduate in VA).

Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers with current certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or client (ARC) is required upon hire.

Experience in a correctional setting.
