Job Description
Bilingual School Psychologist
Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual School Psychologist to join our team and support school districts across Illinois. This role involves providing comprehensive psychological services to students including assessments interventions and consultations with a focus on supporting bilingual students. As a Bilingual School Psychologist you will play a critical role in promoting the academic emotional and social wellbeing of students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students cognitive academic social emotional and behavioral functioning with sensitivity to cultural and linguistic diversity.
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
Provide individual and group counseling to students to address various emotional and behavioral issues.
Collaborate with teachers administrators and other school staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings including eligibility determination and IEP meetings.
Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during emergencies.
Consult with parents teachers and other stakeholders to support students educational and emotional needs.
Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments interventions and progress monitoring.
Stay current with best practices in school psychology and bilingual education through ongoing professional development and training.
Requirements
- Master s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
- Valid Illinois state license or eligibility for licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish (or other relevant language).
- Experience working with bilingual students and understanding of cultural and linguistic factors in assessment and intervention.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and intervention strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
