Job Title: Junior Accountant
Job Description:
As a Junior Accountant you will play a vital role in assisting with the financial operations and management of the company. Working closely with senior accountants and finance managers you will gain handson experience in various accounting tasks and processes. Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Assisting with the preparation of financial statements reports and budgets.
- Recording daytoday financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documents.
- Participating in the monthend and yearend close processes.
- Performing financial analysis and generating reports to support decisionmaking.
- Maintaining accurate and uptodate financial records and documentation.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of accounting software and systems.
- Supporting audit processes and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Staying informed about relevant accounting regulations and best practices.
- Providing support to senior accounting staff as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks SAP).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Previous internship or work experience in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.
- Relevant certifications such as CPA or CMA are a plus.
