Senior Python Engineer

About the project:

The work will focus on maintaining and extending the data analytics platform a set of services and applications designed to help data analysts (but not only) perform their tasks more efficiently. This platform consists of services like file storage service (AWS S3/Azure Blob Storage) scripts execution service (Docker/Kubernetes) tables service (Postgres) etc.

Technology stack: Python Git CICD (ideally CircleCI) Docker. Bonus (though not required): JavaScript React CSS/HTML. hydra/pydantic/sqlalchemy/gunicorn (Optional/Familiar with)

Tasks:

• distributed systems microservices infrastructure
• functionality: persistence I/O operations
• productionizing: refactoring error handling applying best practices
• support currently implemented scripts and projects
• communication with customers and users of the scripts
• remote support of other teams / team members

Our expectations of the ideal candidate:

• Experience writing welldesigned high quality production code
• Proficiency in Python language
• Solid knowledge of relational databases
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of software development best practices including extensive refactoring experience
• CI/CD experience (preferably Gitlab CI/Github Actions)

Soft Skills:

• Prefer problemsolving style over experience
• Ability to clarify requirements with the customer
• Willingness to pair with other engineers when solving complex issues
• Good communication skills
