You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailUnder limited supervision and direction the Principal System Integration Test Engineer interacts with other engineering groups to define document analyze perform and interpret integration tests for products systems and components. The successful candidate will identify functional problems and suggest resolutions. Further they assist in the definition of internal quality standards analyzing use and test cases and providing regular progress reports as well as providing analysis related to the design development and implementation of hardware and software products.
Additionally evaluates existing components or systems to determine integration requirements and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs. Familiar with a variety of the concepts practices and procedures of the System Integration Test Engineer role and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall system integration testing from the hardware level up through the software stack; this includes test planning test execution and reporting
Provides best practice advice and input regarding design integration
Be able to create and implement thorough test strategies and monitor and analyze progress by leveraging statistics metrics and reports
Design and execution of performance tests and various nonfunctional tests
Skillfully probe all appropriate sources of information & demonstrate a keen ability to apply that knowledge as it pertains to testing triage or troubleshooting
Able to successfully escalate defects malfunctions and design issues to the appropriate engineering team for resolution
Actively participate in and occasionally lead as appropriate staff meetings
Reports status and activity to key stakeholders
Excellent verbal and written communication skills can easily speak about complex subjects to all stakeholders whether technical or not
Required Knowledge and Skills:
Working knowledge of scripting languages (such as Perl PowerShell VBScript etc.)
A highly motivated selfstarter who is as comfortable working independently as working with a team and following a detailed plan
A clear understanding of the development lifecycles of hardware and software
Strong project management skills: able to prioritize time and multitask when required
A change agent who can also accept and support new ideas work collaboratively in a teambased environment and handle conflict resolution efficiently by negotiating for acceptable outcomes in a positive manner
Basic Qualification:
Bachelors degree Computer Science Computer Engineer Software Engineer
Minimum 7 years experience in a System Integration Testing role
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with software platforms requiring integration with hardware systems
Experience with testing of SQL Serverbased solutions
Application programming experience with .Net
PLC programming knowledge or machine automation coding experience
Experience with design and development of largescale hardware projects requiring robust and scalable software
Work Conditions
Office environment
Up to 25% travel may be required to customer sites and corporate locations
