Job Title: Academy Video Communications Executive

Department: Football Communications

Reporting: Academy Communications Manager

Location: Training Ground

Salary: 28000 per annum

The Role of the Academy Video Communications Executive

The Academy Video Communications Executive plays a vital role in capturing and producing highquality video output for Brentfords Academy. Reporting directly to the Academy Communications Manager the Academy Video Communications Executive is responsible for creating engaging media assets that showcase the academys activities events and achievements. They will also be expected to cover our womens teams to the same high standards.

Main Accountabilities

  • Lead the filming and editing and postproduction of video content including training sessions matches interviews and promotional materials.
  • Maintain and operate audiovisual equipment ensuring it is in optimal condition for recording and production purposes. This includes cameras microphones lighting and editing software.
  • Work as part of a team to create innovative ideas in order to highlight the work carried out by our Academy.
  • Attend Academy fixtures on occasion to help tell the story of the growth of the youth development programme.
  • Attend Brentford Womens fixtures and provide social media coverage as well as content for other platforms as appropriate.
  • Attend academy events matches and tournaments to capture live footage and support the conducting of interviews with players coaches and staff.
  • Maintain high standards of audio and video quality ensuring that all content meets professional standards and reflects the academys values and image.
  • Organise and manage digital media assets including video files audio recordings and graphics in a wellstructured and accessible manner.
  • To build and maintain good working relationships both internally and externally maintaining a professional image at all times when representing Brentford FC.

Person Specification Essential Personal Characteristics

  • Demonstrable experience in video content production.
  • Experience working in a fastpaced production environment with an ability to work flexibly to meet quick turnarounds/deadlines.
  • Demonstrable experience in video shooting and editing as well as the ability to use Adobe Premiere Pro Photoshop After Effects etc.
  • Experience in taking still photos.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and understanding of how to use content to best effect on different channels.
  • Positive proactive approach with the ability to troubleshoot under pressure.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects; prioritising workloads accordingly based on deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills including with MS Office suite.
  • Ability and willingness to work matchdays including evenings and weekends as well as the ability and willingness to travel overseas when needed.

Person Specification Desirable Personal Characteristics

  • Previous experience of a similar role at a sports organisation or a track record of creating/producing football content.
  • Degree/Qualifications in Journalism or equivalent field.
  • Experience with photo editing software.
  • Able to drive with access to own vehicle.
