Help Children Thrive: Speech Pathologist Position Available in a NonProfit Organisation

About Our Client:

STAFF X Talent Solutions is collaborating with an Australian charity and notforprofit organisation dedicated to empowering children and young people with learning difficulties. They offer various services including early childhood intervention assessments literacy and numeracy programs speech therapy psychological therapy and group programs. Their vision is to create a community where learning challenges are not barriers to success. Operating across Sydney and NSW they provide support to children families schools and professionals.

About the Role:

Our client is actively seeking a Speech Pathologist dedicated to delivering highquality evidencebased services to enhance childrens communication abilities within the Gledswood Peakhurst and Liverpool areas. Responsibilities encompass assessing diagnosing and implementing personalised interventions along with collaborating closely with families and fellow professionals. This role entails maintaining meticulous records participating in continuous professional development and involves travel to our clients clinics and local schools. Adherence to ethical guidelines and regulatory standards is paramount alongside the cultivation of positive relationships with stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments with children and families to identify communication difficulties and disorders.
  • Develop customised treatment plans for children in collaboration with families setting clear goals and objectives and regularly monitoring progress.
  • Provide evidencebased interventions to support childrens communication skills.
  • Collaborate with parents/caregivers school communities and other professionals to provide education and guidance on strategies and techniques for speech and language development.
  • Work closely with other professionals to ensure holistic care for the child.
  • Maintain accurate records of session notes assessments treatment plans and outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit reports as required for various purposes such as progress reports and funding documentation.
  • Build positive relationships with children families and stakeholders through effective communication and customer service.

Requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Masters Degree in Speech Pathology.
  • Certified Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia (or provisional if in the first year of practice).
    Passion for working with children.
  • Strong knowledge of evidencebased practice in pediatric assessment and intervention.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel with a current driver s license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screener Check.
  • First Aid & CPR certificates (if working in school programs).
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to undertake regular travel.
  • Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 10kg of weight.
  • Physical ability and range of motion including sitting standing walking squatting kneeling bending twisting gripping and climbing stairs.
