Responsibilities of CNA / Nurse Assistant Medical Surgical

1. Provide direct patient care including bathing grooming toileting feeding and assistance with mobility.
2. Monitor and record vital signs intake and output and patient status.
3. Assist nurses with medical procedures and treatments as needed.
4. Ensure patient safety and comfort at all times promptly addressing any concerns or emergencies.
5. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
6. Maintain a clean and organized patient care environment.
7. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families.
8. Adhere to all healthcare regulations protocols and facility policies.

Requirements for CNA / Nurse Assistant Medical Surgical

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of an accredited Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program.
3. Current CNA certification or Nurse Assistant certification.
4. CPR certification (preferred).
5. Prior experience in a medical surgical unit or similar healthcare setting (preferred).
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic healthcare environment.
8. Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
9. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently as well as part of a team.
