About the Opportunity:

FedTec is looking for a Java/SQL developer position to fulfill the Web application development project needs for USPS client.

Position: Java/SQL Developer

Work Location: Remote

Client: USPS

Primary Responsibilities

• Software Knowledge

• Rational Application Developer
• SQL Developer / SQL Plus
• PuTTY / WinSCP
• WebSphere
• Subversion
• Cloud Platform Development
• Event streaming platforms used to collect process store and integrate data at scale. (such as Kafka)
• Working knowledge of controlM jobs / POB system as well as the basics of as AFT system
• Microservices design
• Skills in: DevSecOps Secure Coding practices and the Solutions Development Framework (Docker Jenkins GitLab)
• Functional Knowledge (one of more of the following):
  • Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
  • Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
  • Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne ServiceNow etc.)
  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
  • API Tools working and best practices
  • Security
  • Performance tuning

Basic Qualifications (Experience Required)

• Java
• Spring Framework as a comprehensive programming and configuration model
• SQL
• HTML/JavaScript/CSS
• Basic LINUX usage (navigating reading files sudo commands)

Work Schedule:

8 am to 5 pm ET

Additional Provisions

• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening criminal history check and credit check.
• Once a candidates resume is approved and the interview passed the agency is responsible for providing drug screening. Failure to submit the drug screening results will delay the security clearance process.
• An offer contingent upon successful USPS Public Trust clearance will be extended to the candidate.
• If a candidate is given an interim clearance continuation of employment is then based on the candidate receiving a sensitive clearance.
• Candidate must have lived in the US for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
• All overtime must be preapproved in writing by the client manager or his/her designated representative.
