Faculty Positions in Communication Journalism and Liberal Arts

In an environment where communication, media, journalism and liberal arts faculty work closely together while maintaining their own identities, Northwestern University in Qatar is seeking highly motivated persons for faculty positions. Qualified applicants may teach collaboratively in more than one program. Applications are welcome now for appointments beginning August 2014 at appropriate ranks to their education and experience. NU-Q is particularly interested in candidates qualified to teach and conduct research in one or more of the following fields: Media, Communication and Journalism • Media and Communication Law • Media, Culture and Society • News Reporting/Digital Platforms • Public Relations (IMC) • Documentary Filmmaking and Film Studies • Media Industries and Technology • Media Audience Analysis Basic Liberal Arts Courses in areas such as • Anthropology • Psychology • Sociology • Economics Preference will be given to those applicants whose disciplinary background intersects with Middle East Studies, Communication Studies, or Journalism. We seek persons with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and a research or industry track record, depending on the field. An earned Ph.D. or other terminal degree is preferred.
