Role Overview:
Join our team as a Dental Hygienist and play a vital role in ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. As a key member of our dental practice youll be responsible for conducting thorough mouth screenings providing exemplary patient care and assisting dentists in various treatments. Your attention to detail communication skills and commitment to patient comfort will contribute to our mission of delivering toptier dental care.
Responsibilities:
Prioritize patient comfort and satisfaction throughout their dental experience.
Ensure the proper sterilization of dental instruments to maintain hygiene standards.
Conduct initial mouth screenings and assess oral health history.
Identify oral health conditions such as gingivitis caries or periodontitis.
Perform teeth cleaning procedures and apply protective treatments like fluoride.
Educate patients of all ages on effective oral hygiene practices through practical demonstrations.
Provide postoperative instructions and guidance to patients.
Take Xrays and dental impressions as needed.
Collaborate with dentists to determine suitable treatments including those for oral cancer.
Maintain accurate patient documentation and charts.
Monitor and manage dental supplies inventory.
Requirements
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role.
Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations including HIPAA compliance.
Proficiency in preparing and maintaining dental equipment.
Excellent communication skills with a compassionate and patientcentric approach.
Detailoriented mindset with the ability to maintain accuracy in documentation.
Physical stamina to meet the demands of the job.
Diploma in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
Valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Current CPR certification.
Certification in Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide administration preferred.
