About the Opportunity:
FedTec is looking for a UI/UX Design Engineer to assess and evaluate behaviors of targeted groups of people using human centered design methodology to explore all aspects of a stakeholders experience and then translate that knowledge into meaningful and actionable information and system designs to inform and improve programs products and services. Leverage a variety of technologies tools and techniques including market and ethnographic research. Apply advanced consulting skills extensive technical expertise and full industry knowledge.
Position: UI/UX Design Engineer
Work Location: Remote
Client: Internal Revenue Services
Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize a humancentered approach and incorporate use cases and usability to gathering requirements and designing enhancement to the software platform.
- Design and conduct usability testing to verify the usability of the new processes using the Pega platform
- Ensure a consistent and coherent user journey through the conversion funnel connecting landing pages and other elements to create a holistic experience
- Conduct insightful field interviews and observations
- Collaborate with project team to synthesize data into meaningful findings
- Develop models that ground the team in a common language and purpose
- Translate findings into task flows personas usage scenarios stakeholder maps journey maps etc.
Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of experience with developing and facilitating design strategy sessions for gathering requirements collecting data analyzing results and deriving insights and recommendations
- 5 years of experience with using collaboration and design tools including Figma Justinmind MURAL and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience creating prototypes customer journey maps mock screens UX solutions on Pega platform
- Knowledge of User Experience research methods including facilitating interviews and focus groups
- Experience with presenting and interacting with senior level clients
- 5 years of experience with creating personas process flows journey maps service design blueprints and other experience maps in a clientready deliverable format
- Knowledge of Enterprise IT Transformation
- Ability to think creatively and synthesize information
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education / Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in information technology or related field
Clearance:
- Ability to obtain public trust clearance
