Job Description
Role and Responsibilities:
- Execution of the planned and preventative maintenance schedule.
- Responsible for troubleshooting by applying critical thinking skills to identify diagnose and repair equipment problems.
- Must be able to analyze and understand blueprints schematics layout plans and other materials.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in hydraulics lubrication and mechanical equipment; basic understanding of types of lubricants and application of each.
- Ensure all work is performed in a timely and safe manner.
- Maintain all equipment tools and workstations.
- Ability to utilize skills to improve equipment optimization and reliability.
- Maintain logs and recorded labor materials and equipment used.
- Effectively communicate to all team members and management any equipment deficiencies.
- Meticulous attention to detail; able to follow instructions both written and verbal.
- Participate in breakdown analysis root cause analysis focused improvement and 5s projects.
- Ensure workers adhere to local state and federal codes and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education; trade school or college preferred.
- Minimum 7 years relevant work experience as a Millwright/Industrial Mechanic required.
- Minimum 3 years of Plant Manufacturing Experience.
- Ability to work independently and Utilize Critical Problem Solving and DecisionMaking skills to Generate and Implement Solutions throughout the Process.
- Must maintain Compliance within all LOTO Confined Space Hot Work and Working at Heights Policies.
- OSHA 10 Training and Experience.
- Experience with MiG and stick welding.
- Exceptional Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in all tasks jobs and repairs.
- Ability to work extended hours to include nights weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work at heights in excess of 80 feet use man lifts and work in confined spaces.
- Ability to work outdoors rotating shifts and lifting 50 pounds required.
Benefit Package:
- Medical Employee premiums are paid to a total of $500 per month. (this covers employees only and some children/spouses if that coverage is chosen).
