Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Developer to join our client Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts for a 12 months contract position. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 1213 years of overall experience with a focus on developing and implementing containerized web applications in the cloud. This is an onsite position in Austin TX with one day per week required onsite.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement containerized web applications in the cloud using languages from our stack (REACT JS Node JS Python JavaScript JQuery HTML CSS etc.). Handson experience with Core AWS Services such as CloudFront EC2 CloudFormation Lambda S3 Route53 AWS CDK SNS & SQS. Proficient in creating DevOps pipelines using Git/BitBucket Jenkins MSBuild including AWS DevOps technologies like CodeCommit CodeDeploy CDK and others. Build applications using Python React JS NodeJS web services and writing RESTful interfaces. Experience with messaging queue tools like Kafka ActiveMQ RabbitMQ or similar tools in AWS. Develop applications using NoSQL databases specifically MongoDB. Design build and implement IAM requirements and solutions. Implement APM and log aggregation solutions using Dynatrace and Splunk. Agile development experience with Scrum Kanban. AWS Certified Developer/Solution Architect certification. Minimum Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in developing and implementing containerized web applications in the cloud.
- Strong handson experience in Core AWS Services.
- Proficient in creating DevOps pipelines.
- Experience building apps using Python React JS NodeJS web services and writing RESTful interfaces.
- Experience with messaging queue tools in AWS.
- Experience with NoSQL databases specifically MongoDB.
- Experience in developing building and implementing IAM requirements and solutions.
- Experience with APM and log aggregation solutions using Dynatrace and Splunk.
- Experience with Agile development using Scrum Kanban.
- AWS Certified Developer/Solution Architect certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience presenting architecture solutions to management and executives.
- 3 years of experience with Selenium or related tools.
- 3 years of experience using Sourcetree (Git client) CCTray for AWS deployment monitoring Cyberduck for S3 transfer using Yarn package manager for node packages during development.
- 2 years of experience with security best practices (e.g. IAM roles KMS etc.) and implementing authentication using OKTA based authentication technology in AWS.
- 2 years of experience with WCAG 2.0 Standards 508 Compliance/Web Accessibility.
- 1 year of experience with AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
