PCB Layout Design Engineer

Job Description
Job Summary
As a PCB Layout Engineer you will be working with hardware engineers and PCB/Assembly vendors
to determine PCB stackup apply design constraints perform component placement and signal
routing and DFM.

Responsibilities and Duties
Complete PCB design including layout routing and Gerber generation
Build and management of symbols and footprints as well as schematic/PCB templates
Work with the Electrical Engineering hardware team to provide PCB board design. Layout
complex multilayer printed circuit boards containing analog digital RF and power
components.
Creation of fabrication and assembly drawings for PCB fabrication
Collaboration with mechanical and hardware engineering teams to define electromechanical
requirements
Interface with board fabrication vendor to select proper materials and stackup use correct
impedance and DFX rulesets.
Perform placement and routing analysis studies
Set up and maintain design rule checks
Power distribution network design in PCBAs

Required Experience Skills and Qualifications
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in electronics engineering.
10 years of experience with PCB layout and routing in one or all of the following areas:
modern passive and active electronics components surfacemount RF components ball
grid array and similar fine pitch or high pin density components
Demonstrated understanding of design for manufacturability assembly and test
Experience with layout of mixed analog and digital designs high speed design upto 10GHz
buses FPGA DRAMDDR2DDR3DDR4 and Processors power supplies DCDC converters
transmission lines impedance controlled traces and power traces
Experience with MILSTD Industrial and IPC standards and design
Ability to visualize component placement and interconnectivity
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with others
Experience with Rigid Flex and RigidFlex boards design and manufacturing

Proven track record to design & manage all aspects of the printed board design
