Job Description
We are excited to offer a School Psychologist Internship position for the upcoming New School Year (NSY). This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate student in a school psychology program to gain valuable handson experience in a supportive educational setting. Under the supervision of licensed school psychologists the intern will help provide comprehensive psychological services aimed at improving student success and wellbeing.
**Responsibilities:**
Assist in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to identify students academic emotional and behavioral needs.
Collaborate with the school psychology team to develop and implement intervention strategies.
Participate in Individual Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals.
Provide support in counseling sessions and behavioral interventions under the guidance of licensed psychologists.
Assist in the collection and analysis of data to monitor student progress and the effectiveness of interventions.
Engage in professional development activities including training sessions and supervision meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in school psychology.
Support the school psychology team in research and program development projects as needed.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in a graduate program in School Psychology accredited by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) or equivalent.
Eligibility to participate in an internship as required by academic program.
Strong interest in educational settings and a commitment to supporting student mental health and academic success.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Basic knowledge of psychological assessment tools and interventions relevant to a school setting.
