Full Time Permanent Role
Bengaluru Location
Work From Office(All 5 days)
Immediate to 20 days Notice Period
Bachelor s degree in science or related fields and 7 years of related professional experience. Looking for an experienced Storage Engineer with a strong background in NAS Storage Backups and disaster recovery with some experience in Cloud Compute and automation areas.
Key Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years experience in managing NAS/SAN environments with a demonstrated ability to ensure optimal performance and security.
Expertise in NetApp storage solutions with at least 5 years of applied knowledge.
At least 2 years of handson experience with Pure Storage solutions showcasing the ability to integrate and maintain these systems effectively.
Proficient with CommVault backup solutions demonstrating practical skills in data protection recovery and management.
Previous experience in EDA/engineering HPC environments understanding the unique demands and challenges of highperformance computing.
Indepth knowledge of filesharing protocols including NFS SMB and CIFS with the ability to deploy and troubleshoot in complex environments.
Solid background in Linux/Unix environments with strong commandline and system administration skills.
Comprehensive understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP VLANs and routing ensuring seamless connectivity and performance across our IT infrastructure.
Familiarity with cloud technologies particularly AWS and a keen interest in cloud storage ( FSX S3 ..etc) and data management strategies.
Desirable: Experience with automation tools and scripting languages such as Python Ansible Terraform and PowerShell to enhance operational efficiencies and deploy scalable solutions.
Familiarity with ticketing tools like Service Now and Jira
Job Responsibilities
Conduct daily monitoring and immediate troubleshooting of missioncritical storage and backup systems to ensure continuous operability.
Manage routine operations including responding to hardware failures storage provisioning requests processing access requests and addressing incidents with prompt and effective resolutions.
Collaborate with end users to accurately understand and efficiently fulfill requests for new storage spaces data mobility etc
Execute crossplatform and crossregional data migration projects with precision and in compliance with organizational standards.
Implement storage security updates and enhancements continually improving system integrity and performance.
Perform regular audits of the storage and backup infrastructure to ensure adherence to established security and compliance frameworks.
Plan and execute storage and backup system upgrades in alignment with the organizations change management protocols minimizing disruption and maximizing system advancements.
Partner with Linux/Windows teams to diagnose and enhance storage performance ensuring seamless integration and optimal functionality across platforms.
Experience in hybrid of Data Lake with RDBMS/Warehouselike features including ACID transactions and stronger schema enforcement and data governance
Hands on with data governance enabling organizations to securely store manage and share data at scale using Unity Catalog.
Experience with Large data set pipe lines by using the parallel processing .
Experience with data batch processing.
Experience with SCD1 and SCD2 implemention.
Experience with Delta and Full loads.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases data warehousing concepts and big data technologies.
Proficiency in programming languages such as SQL/PL SQL and JAVA.
Familiarity with data governance data security and compliance practices.
Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills (not a must but valueadded):
Experience with Azure services.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment of data solutions.
