LeadPrincipal Network Engineer

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Network Architecture and Strategy:

   • Lead the development of network architecture strategies and roadmaps to support business objectives and growth initiatives.
   • Define standards and best practices for network design configuration and operations.

2. Network Design and Implementation:

   • Design and implement complex network solutions including LAN WAN and wireless networks to meet business requirements and performance objectives.
   • Oversee the implementation and deployment of network infrastructure ensuring adherence to design specifications industry standards and security policies.

3. Network Optimization and Performance Management:

   • Optimize network performance reliability and scalability through proactive monitoring analysis and tuning.
   • Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure sufficient network resources to support current and future business needs.

4. Network Security and Compliance:

   • Develop and enforce network security policies procedures and controls to protect against security threats vulnerabilities and cyber attacks.
   • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to network security and data privacy.

5. Troubleshooting and Resolution:

   • Provide expertlevel support for escalated networkrelated issues and outages diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems in a timely manner.
   • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence of network issues.

6. Vendor Management and Collaboration:

   • Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers evaluating products and services negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
   • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including system administrators security analysts and application developers to support IT initiatives and projects.

7. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

   • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations diagrams and procedures.
   • Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions documentation updates and collaboration.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelors degree in computer science information technology or a related field. Advanced certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or equivalent are required.

2. Experience: 10 years of progressive experience in network engineering roles with a demonstrated track record of designing implementing and managing enterpriselevel network infrastructures.

3. Technical Skills:

   • Expertlevel knowledge of networking concepts and technologies including TCP/IP routing switching VLANs VPNs and wireless networking.
   • Extensive experience with network hardware and software including Cisco routers and switches Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba wireless controllers.
   • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark SolarWinds and Cisco Prime.

4. Communication and Leadership:

   • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
   • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities with experience leading and coaching technical teams.

5. Analytical and ProblemSolving Skills:

   • Exceptional analytical and problemsolving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex network issues and performance bottlenecks.
   • Ability to analyze network traffic patterns identify root causes and develop and implement effective solutions.
