Job Description
Please Note:
- Selected candidate must reside within two (2) hours of the clients Headquarters in Woodlawn MD
- Selected candidate must be willing to work onsite at least 2 days a week.
Position Description:
- Monitor performance of reports and dashboards and take corrective action to optimize and improve dashboard performance as necessary.
- Work with BI Team and others to help troubleshoot issues with Tableau dashboards Tableau database connectors assist with design and data development issues.
- Work closely and collaboratively with end users analysts and stakeholders to ensure best practices are being used proper training is being offered and issues and questions are being answered promptly.
- Gather and document user requirements for new reports and dashboards.
- Create/Modify Tableau reports and dashboards per user requirements. Work iteratively with the end user.
- All other duties as assigned or directed.
Key Required Skills:
Advanced handson design development and publishing of Tableau dashboards using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server; advanced experience using presentation tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint; experience with Tableau best practices and features
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science Mathematics Engineering or a related field
- 8 years of demonstrated design and development visualization solutions using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
- 3 years of presentation experience preparing and delivering presentations to the customer and/or enduser.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
Required Skills:
- Handson design development and publishing experience using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.
- Experience building complex reports dashboards scorecards and visualizations using Tableau Desktop 2021.1 or higher using calculations and parameters.
- Experience in the creation and use of visualizations and conducting data analysis. Critical thinking problem solving and the ability to work independently or collaboratively is required.
- Thorough understanding of data warehouse techniques (dimensional models and aggregation techniques).
- Experience defining and documenting best practices for Tableau report development.
- Enterprise IT customer service experience providing user support to include providing technical support/resolutions and direction on nontechnical aspects of the software use at the federal client.
- Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical/business stakeholders and conversely communicate business information to a technical audience.
- Experience in adapting to changing environments. Candidate must be willing to exercise patience and be able to adapt and respond to rapidly changing priorities while maintaining a respectful and positive attitude with team members and stakeholders.
- Experience in conducting training sessions or facilitating business presentations such as user groups.
- Possess the ability to drive insights into actions that improve the teams service delivery or user experience.
- Excellent communication and written skills
Desired Skills:
- Working knowledge of Tableau Prep.
- Experience writing advanced SQL queries and designing data models in Greenplum Postgres SQL Server MySQL Oracle and DB2.
- Some handson experience and familiarity with other BI/data technologies such as Business Objects MicroStrategy Power BI SAS R Python etc.
- Experience in requirement elicitation and documentation.
- Experience conducting validation and/or user acceptance testing.
Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed. Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD Cisco Certified Network Engineers must possess a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent level of Cisco Certification. CCNP certification must be the Enterprise Core (EnCor) version. Minimum three (3) years of hands-on network experience configuring routing protocols and switching configuration in medium (One Data Center and 600+ locations) to large enterprise (Two Data Centers and 1000+ locations) networks. Minimum three (3) years of hands-on experience with AWS Networking and possess AWS Advanced Networking Specialty certification. Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration. Passed the Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert Written examination within the last one year At least 2 years of experience writing Python scripting language and Regular Expression At Least 3 years of experience implementing Cisco Identity Service Engine (ISE) product in a large multi-data centers and enterprise environment. At least 3 years of experience deploying Cisco Virtual Private Network product such as Cisco ASA and Cisco Wireless LAN in a multi office and large campus environment. At least 3 years of experience working with physical media and equipment associated with each wired and wireless networking. Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, as well as interface with the customer on a daily basis.
