e Summary/Purpose
The Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) Lead Fixed Power Generation Facilities Specialist provides leadership and accountability of business HSE Advisory goals HSE reporting and HSE emergency processes for the site. In this role you will utilize experience and expertise to solve problems develop and execute objectives for self and others build effective partnerships and have the ability to affect the site s shortterm and longterm HSE goals.
Essential Responsibilities
- Implement sitespecific HSE programs and processes including emergency preparedness and fire protection safety risk assessments and observe safe working procedures for nonoffice activities hazardous waste management HSE behavior in workers contractor safety security access control machine guarding PPE Respiratory Protection LOTO and crisis management.
- Oversee compliance assurance program perform site audits and lead efforts with management and operations team to implement corrective actions during safety meetings. HSE Daily reporting and work with the site client in best action.
- Provide HSE technical leadership issue resolution and candid input to site management.
- Support improvements in site HSE culture awareness and accountability.
- Conduct HSE training to new site contractors as a coach.
- Conduct incident/accident investigations and develop corrective and preventative action plans.
- Maintain EHS expertise to provide technical and regulatory support to Operations team;
- Measure & maintain site HSE metrics (I&I rate First Aid Cases Near Misses Concern Reporting Training Completion Stop Work Cases).
- Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies concerning all HSE issues.
- Understand regulatory changes and trends and forecast site impacts.
- Engage / coach operations leaders enabling them to successfully manage their HSE
- Support the facilities team to identify safety and securitycritical equipment and develop preventative maintenance plans to manage these effectively and compliantly.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience in HSE management Facilities/Equipment Maintenance management; preferably in a Power generation or services facility.
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering or Environmental Science from an accredited university or college but all life learned skills will be accepted as well. All continued education in the safety sector will be accepted.
- Ability to implement HSE programs and achieve measurable goals.
- Ability to selfmanage and organize priorities.
- Prior operational experience of business continuity planning and incident management.
- Strong project management skills a must. This is not a sit behind the desk type of job.
- You will be required to walk the entire complex to oversee any safety issues and work in coachable corrective manner.

Salary: $35.0040.00 per hour
