Icu staff nurse

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessing and monitoring patients vital signs and symptoms
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing urgent care as needed
• Documenting patients medical histories and progress
• Ensuring compliance with medical protocols and regulations
• Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Operating and maintaining medical equipment
• Participating in patient advocacy and ethical decisionmaking
• Conducting patient assessments and reevaluations
• Monitoring and adjusting life support equipment
• Assisting in diagnostic procedures and surgeries
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Nursing or equivalent
• Active RN license
• Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or ICU setting
• Proficiency in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS)
• Strong critical thinking and decisionmaking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work effectively in highstress situations
• Familiarity with medical software and equipment
• Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
• Adherence to ethical and professional standards
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and weekends
