Job Description
Overview:
The role of an Informatica Powercenter professional at our organization is of great importance as they are responsible for designing developing and implementing Informatica Powercenter ETL solutions to support business needs. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring efficient and accurate data integration and management for the organizations operations and decisionmaking processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing developing and implementing ETL solutions using Informatica Powercenter
- Collaborating with business stakeholders to understand data requirements
- Creating and maintaining ETL mappings sessions and workflows
- Performing data analysis and profiling to ensure data quality and integrity
- Troubleshooting and resolving ETL job failures and performance issues
- Implementing best practices for data integration and data warehousing
- Collaborating with database administrators and other technical teams
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation
- Participating in code reviews and providing constructive feedback
- Supporting data migration and data warehouse optimization projects
- Developing and maintaining data integration processes for realtime data
- Assisting in performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes
- Participating in the deployment and release management processes
- Conducting training and knowledge sharing sessions
- Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in ETL and data integration
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- 5 years of handson experience in designing and developing ETL solutions using Informatica Powercenter
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies
- Proficiency in SQL and database concepts
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ETL processes
- Knowledge of data modeling and data integration best practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures and performance issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with data migration and data warehouse optimization projects
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
- Experience in realtime data integration processes will be an added advantage
- Certification in Informatica Powercenter is preferred
- Knowledge of other ETL tools and technologies is a plus
