Overview:
As a Medical Gastroenterologist with DM/DNB you play a crucial role in providing specialized care for patients with gastrointestinal conditions. You will work in a hospital or clinical setting diagnosing and treating a wide range of digestive system disorders. Your expertise and interventions will contribute significantly to the wellbeing and recovery of individuals suffering from gastrointestinal issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal complaints
- Perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopy and upper endoscopy
- Interpret diagnostic tests including imaging pathology and laboratory results
- Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patients condition
- Provide pre and postoperative care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care
- Conduct research and contribute to the advancement of gastroenterological knowledge and practices
- Participate in educational initiatives for healthcare staff students and the community
- Stay updated with the latest developments in gastroenterology and evidencebased treatments
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical records and patient documentation
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (DM) or Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in Gastroenterology
- Valid medical license to practice as a Gastroenterologist
- Proven experience in diagnosing and treating a diverse range of gastrointestinal disorders
- Expertise in performing and interpreting endoscopic procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction
