13 weeks Days 8or10hour shift 40 hours guaranteed weekly

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

The Operating Room of Surgery provides intraoperative care to surgical and procedural sedation patients. We provide service for the patient population of pediatrics adolescents adults and elderly patients. We work with a variety of provider specialties in caring for people going home that day or are being admitted to the hospital.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

The medicalsurgical unit specializes in the care of acutely ill adults and those who require surgery both emergent and elective. Medical Surgical patients are given the highest standards of professional care by registered nurses and nurse assistants. Specialty certification in Medical Surgical Nursing is strongly encouraged and supported.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION

Experience:

• One (1) year of operating room experience is preferred.

Licenses Certifications and Registration:

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission.
• Healthcare Provider Level AHA BLS required.
• ACLS preferred.

Shift: Days varied rotating weekends. rotational call required scrub and circulating required.
