Job Title: IBM Zseries Developer

We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Develop design and maintain software applications on the IBM Zseries mainframe platform.
- Work closely with diverse teams to gather requirements analyze business needs and propose technical solutions.
- Write clear efficient and sustainable code following coding standards.
- Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure software meets quality benchmarks.
- Offer technical support and troubleshoot IBM Zseries applications as needed.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and technologies in mainframe development suggesting innovations to boost system performance.
- Document software designs specifications and technical processes for reference.
- Participate in code reviews offering constructive feedback to fellow team members.
- Contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives to refine development processes and bolster productivity.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely project delivery and milestone achievement.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as an IBM Zseries Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in IBM mainframe technologies including COBOL PL/I Assembler JCL CICS and DB2.
- Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git SVN) and issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA).
- Exceptional problemsolving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills capable of explaining technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools is advantageous.
- Preferred but not mandatory: IBM Zseries certification.
