Our Occupational Therapist (OT) holds a pivotal role within our team actively identifying students in need of physical therapy interventions through thorough screenings and evaluations. They assess and treat individual children focusing on enhancing their performance skills and developmental progress. As a member of our multidisciplinary team the OT collaborates on designing and implementing effective treatment programs tailored to each students individual educational plan. They emphasize the educational significance of therapy treatments ensuring they contribute to the students fullest potential and academic growth. Additionally the OT plans and executes therapy programs within the educational setting while also developing implementing and evaluating Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on assessment data. Consultation and advisory services are provided to families healthcare agencies and community organizations as required with ongoing collaboration with the students physician. Moreover the OT offers guidance and instruction to students families and educational staff regarding occupational therapy procedures while meticulously maintaining accurate records and reports for each child served or assessed.
