QA Automation Lead PythonAppium

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated QA Automation Lead with a minimum of 5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance test automation and a proven track record of implementing TestDriven Development (TDD) and BehaviourDriven Development (BDD) practices using Python. As a QA Automation Lead you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions.

1. Lead and Mentorship: Provide leadership and guidance to the QA automation team. Mentor team members fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

2. Test Automation Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive test automation strategy for the organization using Python. Evaluate existing testing processes and identify opportunities for automation. Promote and enforce TestDriven Development (TDD) practices within the development teams using Python.

3. Tool Selection and Implementation: Select appropriate automation tools and frameworks based on project requirements emphasizing Pythonbased solutions. Implement and maintain automated test scripts using TDD principles with Python. Integrate BehaviourDriven Development (BDD) techniques into the automation process using Python frameworks like Behave or PyTest.

4. Test Planning and Execution: Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to develop test plans and test cases. Execute automated and manual test cases to ensure the quality of software releases. Develop and maintain automated acceptance tests using BDD scenarios written in Python.

5. Defect Management: Identify document and track defects working closely with development teams to facilitate resolution.

6. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in QA activities. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in testing methodologies particularly in Python automation.

7. Communication: Effectively communicate testing progress results and risks to project stakeholders. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to address and resolve issues.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA automation with a focus on Python.

Proven experience leading and mentoring QA automation teams.

Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium Appium JUnit TestNG) with a strong emphasis on Pythonbased solutions.

Experience with continuous integration and delivery pipelines.

Solid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Certifications (optional):

Relevant certifications in QA or test automation (e.g. ISTQB CSTE) are a plus.
