Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and mentor medical students residents and fellows in emergency medicine.
• Participate in clinical shifts in the emergency department providing direct patient care.
• Conduct research in the field of emergency medicine publishing findings in academic journals.
• Develop and implement educational curricula for emergency medicine trainees.
• Lead and participate in departmental and institutional committees and activities related to emergency medicine education.
• Engage in continuous professional development staying abreast of advancements in emergency medicine.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care in emergency settings.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance emergency department operations.
• Contribute to the academic and scholarly output of the emergency medicine department.
• Provide leadership and guidance to medical students residents and fellows.

Required Qualifications:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice in emergency medicine.
• Experience teaching and mentoring medical students residents and fellows.
• Evidence of scholarly activity including publications and research in the field of emergency medicine.
• Demonstrated leadership and administrative skills within an academic or clinical setting.
• Strong commitment to evidencebased medicine and continuous quality improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration and teaching.
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced and highpressure environment.
• Active licensure and good standing with the medical board.
