Senior Firewall Engineers

Responsibilities:

• Update tickets and collaborate with staff as required

• Manage maintain and support the confidentiality integrity and availability of the technology infrastructure.

• Rotating oncall requirements to ensure 24/7 coverage would be required.

• Provide break/fix modifications to ensure an uptime of 99.9% with the ability to provide services to 86 executive branch agencies boards and commissions and interconnects between the various local entities.

• Provide same level of services to K12 school districts under the responsibility of the state (approximately 22 school districts/devices)

• Coordinate with the already procured Checkpoint Diamond Support Team for advanced level of support

• Provide VPN creation and modification support to new and existing site to site and/or remote tunnels

• Coordinate and communicate with distant end entities to ensure VPN tunnel integrity and connectivity

• Conduct knowledge transfer with current firewall administrators and new administrators as they are onboarded.

Required Experience:

• Daily next generation firewall (firewall VPN IPS/IDS Application Control IPSec VPN URL Filtering Content Awareness AntiVirus AntiBot AntiSpam Email Security Smart Event Policy Management Logging and Status/Reporting and Mobile Access).

• Maintenance and support.

• Device models include but are not limited to 1530s 7000sand 1430/1450).

• Versions of operating systems include but are not limited to R81.10 R81.20 R80.40 R77.20 and R77.30.
