To provide comprehensive assistance to the Driller across all aspects of drilling operations while ensuring compliance with company standards and maintaining a strong emphasis on safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Adherence to company ESHMS Asset Maintenance and QMS within the designated area of responsibility.
Representation of the organization in a professional and positive manner upholding the company's safety culture and reputation.
Main Duties:
Perform prestart checks on rig support vehicles and equipment.
Loading and unloading equipment before and after projects.
Conduct site inspections for potential hazards prior to commencement of work.
Assist the Driller in various field operations including:
Preparation and maintenance of drill rods.
Cleaning and greasing drill rod threads.
Adding and removing drill rods and casing.
Mixing drill additives and cement/grout mixes.
Conducting in situ tests as required (e.g. SPT Push Tubes Vain testing etc.).
Assembly and disassembly of SPT hammer split spoons cone and core equipment.
Handling and labeling of core samples.
Installation of PVC casing steel bore heads and concrete monuments/plinths.
Grouting drill holes with or without tremmie pipe.
Ensuring cleanliness and organization of drill core and samples.
Monitoring and managing the supply of consumables and equipment on the rig.
Conducting basic maintenance on equipment as required.
Reporting missing or damaged equipment to the Driller.
Ensuring compliance with safety policies and regulations.
Other Responsibilities:
Assist with daytoday tasks as directed.
Contribute to the ongoing development and enforcement of the organization's work culture housekeeping and behavioral standards.
