Job Description
We have an opening for a FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN to solve a General Contractor s sitebased sluice gate/valve start up needs. If you enjoy interacting with customers challenging work environments and working in a handson capacity we invite you to apply! This position is responsible for helping our clients install repair and maintain our equipment. Correctly uses and maintains tools including hand tools power tools electrical equipment and measuring instruments in a physically demanding outdoor environment. The candidate must be passionate about providing exceptional customer service and comply with all Environmental Safety & Health procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Manage on sluice site gate installation repair maintenance and test tasks (Installation is done by the contractor FS technician scope is to guide them on installing equipment per O&M manual)
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
Produce timely and detailed service reports for project managers records.
Works with contractor to understand equipment issues troubleshoot and diagnose rootcause problems and arranges necessary parts from our facility to resolve issues.
Responsible for timely completion and submittal of activity reports and other associated documentation.
Responsible to identify modifications to existing product documentation and communicate to project team.
Qualifications:
Five (5) years of job experience as a field service technician
Water Treatment industry experience a BIG plus
Ability to troubleshoot test repair and service flow control mechanical equipment
Ability to adapt to changing work schedules. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficient computer skills Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Outlook and Excel)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet up to 8 hours a day
Ability to travel up to 50%. Valid Driver s License.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces damp and/or dusty locations freezing conditions and hot conditions
Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting 50 lbs stooping kneeling crouching reaching use hands to evaluate equipment.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam
