Mixed Signal IC Designer

Nexus Semiconductor is collaborating with a leading technology innovator in the semiconductor industry currently seeking talented individuals to join their team.

Responsibilities:

As part of Nexus Semiconductor's client team you will be involved in cuttingedge research and development initiatives aimed at advancing applicationspecific integrated circuits (ASICs). You will contribute to the creation of highperformance analog and mixedsignal integrated circuits focusing on areas such as GHz applications core ADC and DAC structures and communication transceiver ASICs.

Collaborating within a dynamic engineering environment your responsibilities will include:

• Designing custom ASIC data converter solutions
• Implementing core ADC and DAC structures
• Developing complex measuring and emulating communication transceiver ASICs
• Innovating nextgeneration highperformance mixedsignal ASICs

Education:

• PhD in Electrical Engineering or closely related field preferably with a focus on mixedsignal IC design or an M.S. in Electrical Engineering with substantial IC design experience.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience in designing highspeed analog and mixedsignal circuits in CMOS or BiCMOS technologies.
• Proficiency in both transistorlevel design and physical design.
• Experience with mixedsignal building blocks such as PLLs DACs Serializers ADCs or wideband amplifiers.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and to document and present results.
• Strong interpersonal problemsolving and communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and drive to root cause on challenging problems.
• Handson experience with stateoftheart test and measurement equipment and techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in leading mixedsignal circuit design throughout the complete design and fabrication cycle.
• Strong knowledge of higher GHz clock DAC and ADC circuits.
• Background in device modeling thermal design and IC package design.
• Understanding of semiconductor technologies devices and their parasitics.
• Knowledge of signal integrity and electromagnetic issues.
• Familiarity with process nodes such as 65 nm or newer.
• Experience with mixedmode simulation of analog and digital blocks using tools like Verilog or Verilog A.
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages for design automation.
• Experience with synthesized digital design flows using RTL descriptions.
• Selfmotivated mindset to meet aggressive product development schedules and manufacturing expectations.
