Title: Sr Talend ETL Developer
Location: Boston MA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Using the Talend ETL toolset to create new and maintain existing ETL jobs.
- Design and implement ETL for extracting and transforming data from diverse sources such as: Snowflake PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases.
- Design and develop database tables necessary along with the necessary constraints as per the requirement.
- Collaborate with Team members to understand source system structures and data retrieval methods/techniques and tools within the organization.
- Support the development of data transformation logic using ETL tools or scripting languages like SQL Bash Python etc.
- Clean validate and transform data to conform to target schema and quality standards.
- Work with the Team to execute data quality improvement plans.
- Participate in troubleshooting activities to maintain data integrity and process efficiency.
Required:
- Five years experience with Talend Data Fabric in a professional environment.
- Five years experience working for a health data organization performing ETL Development activities.
- Three years experience database data warehouse ETL business intelligence or software development.
- Experience in developing projects using Talend with Data Integration and Cloud Integration working with large datasets.
- Highly familiar with Talend Data Fabric tool ESB and MDM development tasks and processes particularly creating ETL from Technical specifications and converting ETL from other third part ETL tools and other frameworks.
- Experience with cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) and Microsoft DevOps Git Repos.
- Experience with Snowflake PostgreSQL and SQL Server database technologies.
- Able to create/modify tables stored procedures functions triggers and other DB objects.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid work environment.
- Working knowledge and understanding of HIPAA policies and working with PII and PHI sensitive data.
- Effective at managing competing priorities and can work independently with little or no supervision.
- Excellent communication skills: verbal and written along with excellent documentation skills.
- Comfortable working under tight deadlines while maintaining well organized detailed and processoriented work habits
