Job Description
Job Title: Database Administrator (DBA)
Primary Competency: OFSAA Technical
Secondary Competency: Technical Consultant Others
Educational Qualification: MCA
Role Description:
We are seeking experienced Database Administrators (DBAs) to join our team in Mumbai. The successful candidates will be responsible for the efficient and secure operation of our databases primarily focusing on OFSAA Technical along with secondary technical consultancy responsibilities. The role requires a strong educational background in computer applications (MCA) and expertise in database management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Monitoring and Tuning: Monitor database performance metrics and optimize queries and configurations for enhanced efficiency.
- Backup and Recovery: Implement and maintain robust backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and minimize the risk of data loss.
- Security Management: Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Patch Management: Manage database patches and upgrades to ensure systems are uptodate with the latest security patches and feature enhancements.
- Capacity Planning: Forecast future database growth and plan for adequate storage and resources to support business needs.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve databaserelated issues promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions to business operations.
- Database Design and Modeling: Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient database schemas and data models.
- Certifications: Oracle certifications such as OCA (Oracle Certified Associate) and OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) are desirable.
