Remote Support Worker - Night Shift Driver

Medsolve are currently hiring for an amazing company who are looking for full time dedicated Remote Support Worker to actively promote the rights of the young people aged between 16 18 Years of age as individuals and provide them with quality support in the Sunderland area.

This is a Permanent role and we offer a salary of 12.00 per hour. Please note we do NOT offer sponsorship.

This is a night shift role and you MUST Drive.

The main duties and responsibilities of the Remote Support Worker:

Assist in the development of new techniques and approaches to supported living provisions.

To promote safeguard and protect the welfare of each person.

Establish and maintain positive and trusting relationships.

Provide firm consistent and fair boundaries in respect of their behaviour and employ appropriate and agreed sanctions.

Ensure that appropriate medical help is provided in cases of illness and accidents including self harm.

Promote the development of a healthy lifestyle healthy choices and positive options.

To organise and participate in group activities and group holidays.

To assist in the provision/preparation of meals in the home if required

To assist and support Young People through the process of leaving supported living.

Observe and assess the behaviour of Young People.

To work closely and in cooperation with support workers social work staff specialists and other professional agencies.

To support less experienced staff.

Undertake sleep in duties as appropriate.

Undertake appropriate training as required.

Compile reports including Review Progress and Incident reports.

To undertake financial management and recording of day to day petty cash maintenance in accordance with the organisation s policies and procedures

To ensure time sheets are submitted in a timely manner to payroll.

Qualifications required for the Remote Support Worker:

• Right to Work in the UK
  
• 5 years of professional references
  
• Enhanced DBS subscribed to the update service (or willing to get one)
  
• Driver ESSENTIAL
  
• level 3 Diploma in Social Care (018 year olds) Will require no further NVQ.
  
• level 3 Diploma in Adult social care (Will require doing 3 units of Residential Care level three NVQ)
  
• Transferable Adults and Childrens DBS is desirable but not essential.
