Job Description Client is seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer to develop our critical ITEngineering App Platform Infrastructure to rapidly improve the development speed quality and delivery of our webbased applications hosted onpremise and on public cloud platforms. As DevOps maturity is desired for this position we are looking for individuals who thrive in environments that stretch them beyond the traditional Infrastructure Engineering skill sets and get them much more closely involved in understanding the needs of the deployed workloads.
Whats the role
- Write code to make using Kubernetes at NM secure reliable easy and fun.
- Design and implement solutions to accelerate the business and our developers.
- Support large multitenant Kubernetes clusters running 1000s of applications supporting 100s of dev teams.
- Educate the development community on how to use Kubernetes and container services at NM.
- Partner with vendors and enterprise teams on emerging best practices patterns and technology.
- Proactively learn emerging platforms and related technology.
- Solve complex technical issues and enable/instruct peers to be selfsufficient.
- Establish and maintain best practices as it relates to compliance security privacy and legal requirements.
Experience/Skills:
- Experience with AWS Cloud Services (AWS Certified Preferred) and containerized applications and container orchestration (Docker Kubernetes CKA Preferred)
- Experience with monitoring and performance management/tuning of systems
- Experience with networking Linux based platforms and modern programming and scripting languages (Python Go JavaScript)
- Experience with InfrastructureasCode frameworks (Terraform CloudFormation)
- Experience working with DevOps CICD GitOps Agile methodologies.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation and how to apply it with services such as Gitlab CI Jenkins CodePipeline or Circle CI.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem solver who enjoys learning on the job and thinking outside of the box.
