Job Description

Role: IT Product Owner

Employment Type: Fulltime (W2)

Workplace Type: Remote (inperson meetings expected 46 times per year)

Location: Wilmington DE USA

Salary Range: $90000 $110000 (based on experience and qualifications)


We are seeking an experienced IT Product Owner to assist our client in Wilmington! You will help drive the management and growth of a digital commerce platform that enables efficient transactions between government and businesses throughout the state. If you like building relationships solving novel problems and collaborating with a small but dynamic team of technology professionals we look forward to seeing your application!


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep users needs at the forefront of all projects solving problems for users as they arise.
  • Set the product roadmap for expansion of clients digital commerce platform.
  • Communicate the vision for the platform internally and externally.
  • Work with agencies throughout the state to educate them on the platform and work to get more agency transactions included.
  • Manage and direct the work of the vendor partner who is designing and developing the platform.
  • Conduct user research with end users (especially small and mediumsized businesses) and government staff.
  • Build/manage relationships with existing end users of the platform.
  • Inform and engage stakeholders as needed.
  • Use analytical data to drive decisions and evaluate feedback on a continual basis.
  • Research topics related to creating operating expanding and closing a business and the government agencies processes involved.
  • Participate in research creation and organization of content for the platform as needed.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree in related field.
  • Intermediatelevel experience in IT project management/product ownership.
  • Systemsoriented with the ability to see big picture.
  • Effective time management skills and prioritization.
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to research ask questions and develop knowledge on business licensing certification and registration in the state.
  • Skilled at persuasion/able to convey value to larger goals.


Must be willing to undergo a background check in accordance with local regulations/requirements. Must be willing to travel to work location infrequently throughout the year.
